Ingredients

For the Buffalo Chicken Wings:

  • 2 pounds chicken wings
  • 1/2 cup hot sauce (like Frank’s RedHot)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Bleu Cheese Dressing:

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup crumbled bleu cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

For the Buffalo Chicken Wings:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, toss the chicken wings with salt and pepper.
  3. Arrange the wings in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil (for easy cleanup).
  4. Bake the wings for 40 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until they are crispy.
  5. While the wings are baking, prepare the buffalo sauce by mixing the hot sauce, melted butter, white vinegar, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper in a saucepan over low heat until combined.
  6. Remove the wings from the oven and place them in a large bowl.
  7. Pour the buffalo sauce over the wings and toss until they are evenly coated.

For the Bleu Cheese Dressing:

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sour cream, buttermilk, lemon juice, and garlic powder until smooth.
  2. Fold in the crumbled bleu cheese and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Refrigerate the dressing for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Serving Suggestions:

  • Serve the hot buffalo wings with the bleu cheese dressing on the side for dipping. You can also add celery and carrot sticks for a crunchy side. Enjoy!
